Agnes Sarah Whittaker April 17, 1914 — Dec. 16, 2006
Agnes Sarah Whittaker, 92, died Dec. 16, 2006 at the Evanston Regional Hospital.
She was born April 17, 1914 in Almy, the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Morrow) Coles.
On May 16, 1932, she married Thomas E. Whittaker. He died in June 1976.
She loved to do volunteer work. She was a Gray Lady for 25 years at the Wyoming State Hospital. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various positions.
Agnes enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and was always helping her neighbors. She was famous for the rugs she made and donated to various organizations.
She is survived by her son, Thomas "Butch" (Connie) Whittaker of Evanston; daughters Helen Marie Kearney, Grand Junction, Colo. and Lorna (Lomand) Fowler of Lovell; brother John Coles of Evanston; sister Beverly Coleman of Grand Junction; daughter-in-law Karla Whittaker of Phoenix and 14 grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Richard S., brothers Fred Coles and Ernest "Bud" Coles, and a sister, Mildred Gunn.
Funeral services were held Dec. 19 in the Evanston LDS Second Ward. Burial will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
